ABOUT US
The Midland & Northern Counties French Bulldog Club was formed in 1958 to serve the needs and promote the interests of "Frenchie" owners, breeders, exhibitors and all who love the breed in the North of England, the Midlands and Wales. Today we have grown to be both National and International. This website is designed to keep members and all those interested in French Bulldogs informed on matters relating to the breed together with details of Club Shows and Events. As an organisation, it is proud to be both small and friendly, very like the breed we all love!
We hold an annual Championship Show (two from 2024) and also two annual Open Shows each year. From time to time we host various social, health and educational events. Details of these events will be listed on our Show & Event pages on this site. We also publish our club magazine, Bat Ears, which is available to club members twice a year
At present, our breed is becoming increasingly popular, but all owners and potential owners must always remember these friendly, amusing and affectionate little dogs cannot thrive without loving human companionship. If isolated in kennels, crates or cages, they literally go into decline
